Tyvek strong as hell

till it gets a tiny hole in it and rips along the weave... I think a sharp bramble would be enough to rip it. Also really not dirt/water proof.

yes its made from tyvek, and its watertight, after small rain there was no rain signs at all, dont know what would be after all day of rain

From wiki... “Water vapor can pass through Tyvek, but liquid water cannot”
Been using it for years as super lightweight (cheap) groundsheet - it’s ace!

Is that saddle angle voluntary?
-
• #19758
oh really? I've mostly used it for packing art works in and making the odd improv rain cape for getting home in swaddled like E.T. Definitely loses its form over time anyway!

Cheers, didn't realise there was a Surly under there, i just picked up a Steamroller and was going to use yours as inspiration for my rat paint job! Did you clear coat it?
Interesting wheel choice, did you ever take those crabons off the beaten path?

I managed to get hold of a XTR M952 groupset (long live 3x9), Avid Single digit Ti V-brakes and levers and also some DT swiss 240 HuGi disk hubs in near mint condition the other day.
I also have some other parts laying around. I think I am going to build a rim brake, 3x9, flat bar touring bike for summer next year!

Ask @larsenroad
is that a framebag made out of tyvek?? surprised it's strong enough for that.
