Well currently I wear a 1960s Omega, so guess I am used to a smaller watch, which is my slight fear with the 42, I might find it annoying!
Will be a watch to keep, so not worried about paying full price, not like they are expensive for what they are!
I’m tempted by a 39mm green bezel to be different...

Then go for quality. Any of them will do.
Ask anyone whos owned one, Steinhart rocks.
Me personally, i think it fits with the profile of the Rolex of the 60s. The watch is super well made utilitarian everyday that will one day be a piece to be handed down. .
Im personally blown away by the quality.
Wear it, love it.
Boys dont ask each-other that in company!!!
I DO SAY....
As soul has pointed out, @Aroogah and myself wear the larger size with pride.
But to be fair, what are you used too? What size are yours currently?
I am used to heftier watches. The 42 Steinhart comes up smaller on my wrist than most 42s but has a lot of presence. But, the watch will come up small.
39mm is harder to comeby, as you can see.
And what is your goal? Long term?
Also, you have to look harder, there are loads of good almost new on the bay. But the good news, the forum is a fan. And we treat our own, so youll get actually what you pay for.
....my 2cents worth....
