Sadly no :(
Nearly bought one a year ago but resisted. I’ll have to keep a look out in Lidl when they have them again.
The screws for removing the bezel cage thing are fused from shit, so they are just getting chewed up and won’t come off. Will need to replace them if I manage to remove the cage and replace the bezel insert. No idea of size or replacement possibility though.
Will try sort a new crystal next week.

I have an ultrasonic cleaner if you want to borrow or use it...

Thanks for the offer. Since I’m not London based it may not be easy to borrow/use! Will beg you if I can’t get a cheap one by chrimbo.

Where are you based?
If it's cambridge or birmingham way, i'm around both regularly...

Down in the depths of Swindon I’m afraid.
Just had another look at the movement though - 955 412, V8/ Swiss 7 jewels. Madness.

Think I posted this a few dozen pages ago. Finally put a couple of batteries in it. Probably the first time in 20 years that the light has worked!

It’s called the ‘Mysterious Seconds’, bit gimmicky imo but if he’s happy paying £5k secondhand for a watch that’s hard to read, who am I to argue!

I had a look at the seller's store last night and found two watches that I'd buy in a heartbeat... I resisted but yours is a beaut!

Had it since new, bought in a Fossil outlet in Orlando, Florida. Mum & Dad said the Darth Vader one in a chunky Vader masked bust was too big to carry home, had to settle for this one instead.
Not sure it’s worth enough to make worth parting with or else I’d consider selling.

You can’t put a price on that story and if you sell it the story ends. Please keep it, even if you only wear it for a couple of weeks a decade.

You should see piles of ‘stories’ in my bedroom...!

Where do people buy Steinhart from, direct or from Chronomaster? I’m looking at a standard Ocean One, and doesn’t appear to be a huge difference in price
-

I buy direct.
Delivery is quick and there's no added tax etc obvs.
The few times I've tried to buy from Chronomaster, they've either taken ages to dispatch to the point of just cancelling and ordering direct or I've enquired and they've told me it's out of stock despite saying it's in stock on their site.

I think we’re confusing bedrooms and wc’s...

Are you only interested in new?
-
• #29622
Not necessarily... haven’t seen many second hand ones around, and not sure what colour to go for, are you selling?!

Have you considered the ocean 39?
Ive had a couple of 42mm models and they're massive for all but @ChainBreaker.
The 39mm is a much nicer size. Since I got one, I've been wearing it almost daily.

I did wonder about 39 vs 42, same price, same style etc. I don’t have massive wrists so 39 could be a good option I guess, one to ponder!

Are you in London?
Welcome to try one of my 39s
Have you got an ultrasonic cleaner? Think that case could come up pretty well in one.
