  • Hi guys, can you tell me if it can fit on my bike. It's a bike with 700x35 tire ( Raleigh MUSTANG SPORT 2016 ). The problem is that my mid eyelet are on the inner face of the fork only.... Distance between the 2 eyelets is 80mm. Can someone here measure his rack and tell me if he think it can be ok for me?

  • Picture might not be the best but there are 13cm between the tabs so it won’t fit I’m afraid.

  • Gaffer tape for a bit more protection. Over time I've seen racks snap from having been chewed up.

  • Can those triangle plates attach to the outward facing side of the mounts?

My fork mounts seem to be 14.5cm apart, I'm wondering if I could mount the plates on the outside of the rack then fill the gap to the fork with washers whether that would better or worse than stretching the legs out .75mm on each side.

  • I’ve tried a while ago fitting the plates on the outside and it came about 175mm or so.
I think it’s a bit of trial and error as each fork is different (straight blade or not, height of the eyelet on the blade, etc).
I wouldn’t force it open too much as it’s a 3 piece alloy and you might end up stressing it causing it to fail.

  • Thanks for the measurements, I nearly bought one a while ago but saw some photos of one on my fork on another forum, the mentioned then about the stretching it to fit and that was enough to put me off.

Would anybody know whether using a very long bolt and a 12.5mm shim to the fork leg is something mechanically unwise and make the fork mounts more likely to fail than just bolting directly through the triangle plate to the fork?

  • Anyone know if you can use fixings or mounts for a fork with no eyelets? Really would like this, without changing the fork if possible

  • Pizza rack purchased and now attached to my bike.

  • Anyone know where I might be able to get a spare of the bracket which goes between the fork crown and the bottom of the rack bed?

    As shown here.

  • Have you asked you're local stockiest?

Anyone use a light on the front if so what one?

  • Anyone use a light on the front if so what one?

Did you get anywhere on this?

Anyone else mounted a light to it? I have my old Catseye fork mount ziptied to the upright strut on the front as a stop gap. The mount doesn't seem flat on the front so couldn't mount it there (IIRC)

  • I just used a little bit of (est) 75x20mm metal with a couple of hole in it and bolted it to those little screws that hold the top to the side struts, then just bolted a dynamo to the side.

I didn't like mounting it to the front as I wouldn't be able to carry bigger things on the platform.

  • Indeed I did, I bought a mount off Amazon.

  • Been looking for a mount just like that - for the same light!

    Do you have a link?

  • I too would be interested in knowing where to find this

  • @Eejit and @mk1mark here you go - Point 19030501 Front Light Bracket Fork Fitting, V-Brake Hole Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0038VO0S6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_WyjxCbJXFMBPS

I used a nut and bolt to fix it, 8mm, which goes right through that front hole and then have put washers to help clamp it etc.

  • Cheers! My searches for similar on amazon have always revolved fruitlessly around the word ‘mount’. I knew I needed to try something else but ‘bracket’ never came to mind.

  • Help,

I need to set this rack up on a Surly Crosscheck fork.

First time doing this with Cantilevers - can anyone show me their set-up?

  • If you look at post #92 of this thread you can see how I did it on my canti forks

    https://www.lfgss.com/comments/13390346/

  • Thank you.

I managed to set it up with the cantilevers inside the rack - meaning it's super close to the fork.

Super fiddly but should provide a bit more stability.

  • Cool bike!

  • Where did you get those clamps from? I think I might need some for my mount-less forks. Cheers

  • Got them off here, I no longer need them due to now having a fork with mounts

  • is anyone using the pizza rack with the official bag and Shimano brifters?
i just got hold of a bag, but can't use it as the bag is in the way when shifting (suspected this would be the case before I bought the bag)

I'm thinking of switching to bars with a slight flare and hoping that would solve the issue.
    anyone done similar?
