Made a one-piece strap from 20mm webbing to see how I liked the fit, but the loose bezel was annoying me. Popped off and started scrubbing. It needs some real attention to get totally cleaned up. This is after 5 minutes with a soapy toothbrush.
Realised the crude ratchet system (black ring on the case around crystal) was totally flattened. I suppose the recesses could hold ball bearings, not sure if someone lost them or if it only ever ran against the plastic.
Gently plied up the plastic ring and now it’s better, more secure and monodirectional. Could do with being more, but think I’m asking too much of a busted old thing.
