So, I've enjoyed these Transmission Lines for 15 years, but we've moved recently and my new listening room is way too small ... I've reluctantly accepted my fate as a standpoint / monitor man from now on.
Listening wise, they are impressive with the right setup, particularly the bass from the transmission line design. They can move your guts with the right amplification. I ran them with a Bill Beard valve pre/power combo from a variety of sources and it was sublime. Almost as good was with LFD mosfet amps but they lacked a bit of oomph. They do need sympathetic pairing. They can be harsh with bright electronics and poor recordings.
They are in fine order and completely original bar the spikes which were lost in a move and replaced with generic ones (M6 fitment). They have a few cosmetic battle scars, worst one shown above, which somehow came out mega contrasty and doesn't look so bad irl, but nothing that couldn't be sorted with a bit of French polish. I bought them from their first owner who was a fastidious old boy. He even kept the original literature which I have. Incidentally he had just made a rather expensive upgrade to PMC yet was having serious buyers remorse, as I fully expect to!
