How often do you actually ride gravel where trendy wide tyres are needed? Could you press the caad12 into commuting duties and just use the mtb for actual off road riding? 29ers can be pretty fast on the road with the sus locked out and tyres pumped up.
I've made do with a road bike, mtb and Brompton for a bit and have most bases covered, but then I have little interest in cx or soft off-roading (soft-roading?).

lols at "soft-roading"
Might be a future marketing buzzword and subsection of cycling when gravel sales drop :) -

i like the look of the cfr505
they'll do custom stuff, e.g. extra bottle mount under DT is only $20

Yes it is DS = Radial, an aesthetic choice but we figured that 20 spokes 4 cross on the other side of a steel hub will stop any hub wind up ! i'll update next week after i have sorted tyre and integrated shifter on the bike and given it a go.

Vitus Energie CRX looks pretty aggressive, stack reach is similar to Caad12, and has mudguard mounts.

The NDS flange is only pressed into the hub shell, so any torque across the shell will spin the NDS flange in the shell.

Fairly rocky gravel path on my commute and also just terrible roads. Bigger is comfier so need or not it’s just nice to have I reckon.
Once the mtb is built I’ll see where it fits in. -

thanks for the info - poo ! - only 1 way to find out if my awesome guns or lugging my lardy arse up a hill, will over-power 84 years of corrosion at the joint !

How much?

I sold my Arkose and kept my GT grade for this very reason, it's just more agile. Still not a race bike tough, and tire clearance is shit

£200 collected but you will have to wait till I get the Triton.
That would be sick but £2k frameset is not for me unfortunately
