• The new Shimano PD-ES600 tickled me, designed for gravel riding apparently with a much lower profile, single sided and lower weight however it led to me asking why is the older A600 not suitable for the task;

    The A600 biggest advantage is that it actually work like a road SPD-SL pedals whose weight rightened it into a vertical position making it easier to clip in, yet still have a decent low profile for off road.

    I can't imaging the ES600 having that advantage as it look like from the photo you'd need to try and flip it with your shoes before clipping in due to the lack of self-rightened.

  • There great unless you need some kind of platform. I like the XT T8000 Trekking Pedals or i just ride the one up composite flat pedals
