Merckx MXL, Sram RED, Crabonz - HHSRB

Hi all,

For sale is my lovely Merckx MXL - 53cm. Apologies in advance for the messy photos... my garden needs a good burnin'

First up, it's a beautiful MXL frame, blue, red and pearl white. The paint is fantastic, with only a couple of small touch ups by a previous owner.

The groupset is a Sram RED 10sp.
53-39 chainset (with Rotor rings - will include the original RED 11sp rings too)
11-25 Cassette
Planet X superlight CNC brakes (one seems sticky, so will include RED brakes too)
Groupset in good condition, but has been well used. Loads of life left in consumables (chain/cassette)

Crabon 38mm rims, branded AMP (generic hoops basically) - plenty of life in brake track, scream like a murdered pig in the wet.

Crabon seatpost, superlight. Generic China dealio.
Conti GP4k tyres, could probably do with some new rubber (one good, one has a small slit)

Pricing - an abolutely bargainous £850! That's basically £300 for the frame, £300 for the groupset and £250 for the wheels!

Pick up only please. I'm about a 30min trainride from Waterloo, at Farnborough/Farnham.

Would be happy to split if I had a buyer for frame, groupset and wheels (prices in original post)

@jono84 max tyre sizes, should easily get 28-30c up front, max in the rear is probably 25, or on wider rims you might be able to squeeze in a 28c.

Special offer - buyer can have their pick of red or white bar tape if they don't fancy the black!

Is there a size guide/recommended height for this frame?

Count me in for the frameset at £300 then if it comes to the split.

I'm 5'7" probably wouldn't suit anyone shorter... would probably fit up to 5'10"
