Well, yes and no!!
The front has been perfect..... the rear, not so much! I think I need to retape the rim as it's leaking through the spokes, I think. As to drying out, I'm only going off what the blurb on the bottle says.
I'm going to strip these tyres off anyway, retape the rims nicely, as the gorilla tape has slipped a bit, then mount up some different ones. The good thing is that it's cheap, so I can experiment.
They way it seals holes in the tyre is amazing though..... I'll have to film it to show, but you literally turn the hole downwards, and it's INSTANT!
It works a treat! So I thinned it down a fair bit more than 2:1 to get what I thought was 'about' the right runniness.... I didn't think it was going to succeed, because when I was sloshing it around, it looked a bit like jelly, and wasn't sticking to the sides of the bottle, so I thought it wouldn't stick to the inside of the tyre either.
I have an old pair of very light XR0's, that are full of holes and little splits than Joe's wouldn't seal. When I put this one in and added the jollop, it was pissing air out of a split about 4mm.... I turned the tyre so the split was at the bottom, and it instantly sealed! It hasn't lost any pressure overnight and seems fine..... I'll know better when I test ride on Tuesday!
