for context, the track bike weights a lovely 6.8kg without brakes and some nice 50mm crabon rims. Stick a brake and a larger sproket on the rear and it starts to weigh as much as my roadbike, which sort of defeats the purpose. I've put a much lighter alu front wheel on and will swap the big ol' 144bcd dura ace cranks for something smaller and lighter but it's unlikely to break the 6kg mark without some dodgy carbon......this should be in the sub 5kg cannondale thread shouldn't it
