• I have a similar experience. 25mm all good on one set of rims but comes up large on a different set and I had to downsize to 23mm.

  • My 28 Pro one come up true to size on my light bicycle i17 rims. So do 32 and 38 g one.
Do slr1 have a wider internal width now?

  • I have these same tyres on a set of Kinlin XR22T rims. They do indeed setup wider than 25mm. Causing an issue for me as I'm getting rub on my NDS chainstay as the wheel moves in the dropout slightly.

  • is this normal for these tyres?

It's normal for all tyres. Firstly, there's a lot of tolerance on the nominal size, and secondly the nominal size is typically based on fitment to the narrowest permitted rim, in the case of 25mm tyres that would be a 13mm internal rim. My 25C Pro Ones on 17C rims are about 28mm wide. My 25C GP4000Ss are 26.5mm and 30mm as the rear rim is wider than the front. This is a phenomenon which is well known and widely stated in this and other threads as well as all the marketing bumf for fashionably wide rims, so you have no excuse for being surprised

  • not surprised Tester, just asking the question before I buy the 23mm version

  • Pulled a 1.5 inch wood screw out of my rear tyre this morning. Spun the wheel and it resealed straight away. Two thumbs up for Schwalbe Marathon Supreme + Stans.

  • Anybody know of a shop in South London where I can buy a tubeless repair kit this morning?

  • P&L, Vaidas, Balfes, Seabass

  • Ta. Bon Velo in Herne Hill too it turns out, though the worms are massive

  • Have tubeless tyres been resolved yet?

  • Which width tape would be best for this rim? I'm assuming 25mm would do it...

  • Finish line sealant is worthless, in pictures.

After 6 months, failed to seal a slow leak:

    Orange after a year:

  • Perplexing rear flatting issue. Submerged entire rear wheel - rim and tyre - in water and not a single bubble from anywhere at 60psi (G-one on converted rim) and yet it is virtually flat (under 20psi) after a 7-mile ride and a day sat outside the office. Have plugged a few holes and it had a fresh load of Stan's in after a recent issue. Plenty of life left in it I think, just very weird that I can't see where air is coming from. Ideas?

  • ^Valve leaking

And isn't sealant supposed to be topped up every 2-3 months

  • Valve is submersed, too, and not a single bubble. New goo is only a month or two old.

  • Cover with a soapy solution and look for bubbles

  • ^ dis

Also your new goo might have goooone - worth a check if you haven't already.

  • Found it! Insanely small, pin-prick puncture by the side of a nobble. Thanks for the suggestions.

  • My tyres (IRC Roadlite’s) are making me nervous in wet conditions after a recent slide out and a couple more slips in yesterday’s rain. Great tyres, but not for the wet.

I want something that’s the equivalent of a Conti 4000, but tubeless, for winter training and commuting. What are people running?

    Cheers

  • Schwalbe pro one. What size tyre and pressure are you using- bigger tyre lower pressure will give more grip

  • IRC X guard is another option. I've used them in wet conditions and they are good. Get good write-ups as well.

  • Pro one are terrible in the wet! I've switched from them to IRC for any days with a hint of rain... Would not recommend as a wet weather tyre at all

  • the equivalent of a Conti 4000

Does not exist. On road bikes tubeless is futile when GP4000SII exists.
