  • I am posted as I’m looking to find out more information, please do not just belittle it. Yes I enjoy meat, but I also think very hard about it and how we are bringing up our daughter etc. I guarantee in years to come she would question the reality of killing animals to eat them.

  • Most of us used to eat meat too, myself included, and thought nothing of it because it was the "normal" thing. As soon as I questioned that normality, my whole view shifted. If you want to feed meat to a child, I think it's important they understand where that meat came from (it's a cow not beef, a pig not pork etc) and that it has to be a conscious decision to take the life of another living being for your own pleasure/taste. It should never be the default position that it's just the done thing. Then she will be informed to make her own choices when she is ready.
