  • ^ rest is training too. After a gentle 10 sunday a.m. i've done nowt ahead of Sundays race so hoping similar approach works for us both.

Worst case 6 x 10-15s off 45s recovery the day before seems to have helped me get legs ready for recent 5k's, so that'll be my Sat session here (sandwiched inbetween 10min wu & cd). Might jog tomorrow a.m too if can get out of bed.

@alialias how's your knee? What's your thoughts about Sunday?

  • I walked to uni tues and weds, painfree, and today tried the bike, again painfree. So not bad really, but I'm concerned about the lack of any running done on it for 2+ weeks.

I'm going to go, if only because it's been a long-term foolish plan with 2 mates. I'll run, relatively gently, until it hurts, then walk/hobble. Probably not a great idea, and maybe not very 'race spirited' but hey!

  • concerned about the lack of any running done on it for 2+ weeks.

That won't be as bad as you'd reckon given you're fit and active anyway.

Painfree is good sign, worth giving it a go as you describe see how you get on. Maybe worth a short shakeout jog tomorrow or Sat as a test?
