Not sure @spotter would agree with that unless I'm getting tyres mixed up.
It's been covered extensively in the tyres thread but as soon as you look at Compass tyres they p******e and they're meant to be tubeless but nobody can get them to work as tubeless. Plus they have no grip in the wet.
Cannot agree with this - how hard did you pump them up?
I run mine tubeless at between 30 and 40 psi and they're great and not at all slow. I've happily done club runs and plenty of decent paced road rides on mine this summer.

Tyres are very personal though. And I should probably try G One Speeds but I'm too tight.
