Gravel / Gravé / Gnarmac / Groad / ATB

I would like (I think) a single speed frame to replace my arkose.

I'm not sure what I want. I'm not sure the arkose is giving me it.
I want a single speed frame I can commute on mudguards please, and rack, no thru axle, disc brakes, probably carbon fork that if I wanted to I could cross on.

I've got a strange ticking noise when I sit down and push hard, it feels heavy, I'm not sure I like it.
What else is there?

Bombtrack Arise apart from the carbon fork bit. And it has sliding dropouts.

Unfortunately the OTP bikes have crap bits (especially the Kenda tyres and cheapo disc brakes) and the F&F is almost impossible to get hold of, although I managed to from Germany.

Possibly weighs more than an aluminium Arkose though.

Do you think the fact the Arkose is alu is bothering you? It seems a completely illogical material to make a 'gravel' (sic) frame from to me.
