Ahhh, interesting. Just looked this up on YouTube. I now wonder if I can squeeze all 9 gears of a 9-speed cassette (or for that matter all 10 gears of a 10-speed cassette) on a 7-speed freehub with a bit of careful filing. I need to check my spreadsheet. It sounds a bit random, but it’s to preserve the 126mm spacing but gain a few more gears.

What modifications do you have to do to the freehub to make the 10-speed body fit an 11-speed cassette?
