Got body checked by some guy whilst riding home just by St. Mary's. He was trying to cross the road before an ambulance coming in the other direction passed by. He didn't look to his right, so didn't clock me at all.
Somehow neither of us went down.
He was extremely apologetic immediately which completely defused the situation and after the heart stopped racing I continued home.

Skully.
Occasional trip in. Good to see some of the old crew are still around.
I need to come to London just to ride in traffic again.
My commutes are calme but dull. -

Hello Brickman, hella long time no see. Hope you're well.
Never forget you monkey swinging off the traffic light tree on the first Docklands ride.

Bit damp today and going half an hour later on cs7 does put you right in a nodderfest . Highlight some dick at Clapham going to veer across the lane into me despite me shouting “look!” twice. Apparently he was looking so presumably he’s just a twat.

a slap of the popsicle tail to the Ridgeback-riding track-standing RLJ-booing rider on CS7 today. Brought a smile to my sucking-sour-lemon face. But. Get some mudguards though eh?

Riding home earlier I was waiting behind a bus and got undertaken by some full kit fuck who squeezed between the bus I was stuck behind and the bus next to it that was indicating to pull out of the stop. Dumb as fuck. They were very slow though so I guess they've got to save time somewhere.

I look forward to dwindling numbers of cyclists during the coming winter. Especially those with qualifications in undertaking and close passes.
-
• #24067
What is it with other people on bikes thinking close passes - with optional left hook - are OK?
-
• #24068
hey S nice to see you here!
-
• #24069
I've seen fewer of these recently.
Having said that, this morning e-bike rider in baggy tracksuit came blasting past me RLJ'ing for good measure.

Unlocked my bike from the railings, tried to pedal off to find my freewheel has completely gone.
Spins for days in both directions :/
Locked it back up and got the tube. Sad days. -

He's been arrested now according to the guardian.
-
• #24073
Be interesting to see what the outcome is as hes been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm under section 35 of the Offences Against the Person Act – “injuring persons by furious driving”

Today all the motorcyclists are in the green cycle asl, as always.
Met a dog walker who told me "my backpack is bad for my back" Em, ok?
Guess they mean well but is it?Below is the Water works, next to cavehill road. Worth a visit if you have time, then continue to upper cavehill road to walk toward Belfast castle and the cavehill top to see Belfast.
There is a mtb trail on cavehill too.
