  • If when you go to look at your tubeless tyre that needs reinflating, you pop it back on using an airshot and it appears to have held air overnight (after months of neglect), you notice your disc rotor has been fouling the rear stay, who do you blame:
    a) yourself for not noticing sooner
    b) yourself for using 160 mm rotors
    c) the frame maker
    d) yourself for not checking
    e) the mechanics at cadence for not knowing
    ?

I'm going for any answer that includes "yourself".

  • Can anyone recommend a Freeview HD recorder?

  • Why doesnt my shiny new freewheel extender thread onto a specialized 3 spoke. It gets stuck after 1 turn. I dont want to force it.

Extender should be BRITISH THREAD 1.375"x24tpi : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223104186048 Does this thread pitch standard exist?

sheldon says british thread is 1.370"x 24 tpi and iso is 1.375" x 24tpi.

and is this why it doesnt fit?

  • I'd ask the frame builder if it was designed to work with 160mm rotors.

  • I'd add

    f) yourself for buying a Planet X frame.

    to your blame list

  • Meh.

  • Have the threads on the 3spoke been used recently? Might be a little dirty?

  • I have just had a 6 bolt adapter on that fits fine. and just now I tested a (used) halo fix-t cover that also works: https://www.billys.co.uk/english/group.php?prod=huha-fit-t-cover 1.37x24Tpi

  • I think with all my travelling right now and my return to Finland I need to buy a bike box.

    Can anyone recommend one?

Going back to this as I need to take action - moving in just over a week.

So far I'm torn between the Bike Box Alan:
    https://bikeboxalan.com/product/premium-bike-box/

And the PBK Bike Travel Case:
    https://www.probikekit.co.uk/cycling-accessories/pbk-bike-travel-case/11437202.html

The Bike Box Alan appears to be the daddy of bike boxes, used by all the pros ... and really quite expensive. I guess this is the Samsonite option.

The PBK Bike case seems reasonable, especially if the price reduction is to be believed, but the only reviews I can find are on their own website, and there's only 5. I guess it's a rebranded Bonza, which has reviewed fairly. I consider this the American Tourister to the Alan's Samsonite.

I'm probably going to use this case twice a year max. Should I perhaps unnecessarily splurge on the Alan (steady), or will the PBK case be just fine?

  • used by all the pros

A lot of pros use Scicon Aerocomfort actually. It's a good option and packs small-ish, if overpriced at RRP.

  • Facebook knows I’m single again, I suppose....!

Doesn’t ‘caught short’ mean something different?

I thought it meant to need a really dodgy poop, without any notice. No?

  • orgasmic gel? dont they mean "gel that gives orgasms" otherwise your just describing the gel not its affect - or am i totally getting my GCSE English wrong?

  • It really does raise more questions than it answers...

  • we need someone who's experienced this orgasmic gel

  • orgasmic gel? dont they mean "gel that gives orgasms" otherwise your just describing the gel not its affect - or am i totally getting my GCSE English wrong?

Well, 'dont' should be 'don't', 'your' should be 'you're', and 'affect' should be 'effect'.

I imagine 'orgasmic gel' is probably a euphemism. Without doing any research on the product, I suspect that given the 'caught short' tag, it may be a substance intended to desensitize the male member to ensure that an episode of sexual congress is not over too quickly.

  • totally agreed in you're criticism (with an s, no USA z here just to desensitize the issue) of me words their , buts i aint not publishing to the world populations

  • .

  • Inspector Morse preferred the Oxford spelling when it came to - ise/-ize, presumably on account of him being an Oxford man himself. I went to the other place, but I Endeavour to match his standards.

  • If only. I went to the other other one. I have been to Hull though. Twice. Both times on purpose too.

  • Where would you go if you needed to get a Sturmey Archer 3x striped, cleaned and rebuilt...?

Extra points for being South East London

  • Are underpants called underpants because they go under your pants or because they themselves are the pants and they go under?

  • Anyone on here work in Pharmaceutical Regulatory on the business side? i.e. need to understand and advise the business about the regulatory 'landscape'.
