Bala, what a champ...

What happened to Dennis today? ~4 mins lost.
Has he got a team for next year?
Edit: Bahrain Merida. Meh.

Seemed to be a lot of riders suffering from the heat today.

Blimey, PCS has Nibali four minutes down, and Dennis and LRP caught the bus and lost thirteen minutes.
-
• #19006
Porte also lost a lot of time.
It sounds like Simon Yates finished way down too, not bothering to raise people's hopes this time before fading.

It sounds like Simon...
That was Adam.

Aqua Blue have folded. Sad for them and their riders. Talented guys like Eddie Dunbar will get a team easily enough.
But harder to see where the likes of Blythe go.

The BBC had Simon Yates as coming 149th at first.
Now he's been promoted to 29th.
I probably won't use them for results any more.

Good riddance to their tit of a manager.

Cycling wouldn’t exist without tits like Delaney, Tinkov etc. Takes an oddball to throw money at the sport with little prospect of any return.

That's such a pity, I liked them as a team, regardless of their issues. It'll be interesting to see where all the riders go. Being a pro must be so hard with no real guarantees of employment year to year, I'd say they were being told they were fine up until a week or two ago.

The advert for the Tour of Amalty is possibly the worst I have ever seen.
Props to Viviani. Usually seen as a second tier sprinter but surely with his wins this season and his performances on the track he's got to be one of the most dangerous sprinters on the road. I know he hasn't been tested much against the very best at the Tour but his results are phenomenal this year.

He’s lucky he doesn’t have to race Gaviria.

And Greonewegen. But I do reckon he would hold his own. I think he is better than he was, and he was very good. He's a clever sprinter too.

The press release on Twitter was how the riders found out.

There'll be lots of ex-pro bikes on sale, only lightly thrown in to hoardings.

I thought Delaney had guaranteed the team’s funding for four seasons? More reasons not to trust tax exiles.

Always seemed like a Aqua Blue was a flawed team set up. Not sure why they expected World Tour treatment as such a new team with not a lot of talent barely operating at continual level... At least all the riders moaning about how shit 1x is for proper road racing finally got 3T to give in and
make a 2x Strada before they announced they are folding.Maybe Adam Blythe will be selling his collection of custom Nikes that I never really understood why he deserved for a bit of spending money.

I’m aware of Blythe’s reputation as a ‘bit of twat’ but he lives near me and always acknowledges me when I offer a greeting as we pass on the road.

not a mirror then?

Why do nike bother sponsoring him and cav? They dont make or sell the shoes (or any cycling kit) so whats the point?

I think most of the hate is because he insisted on white shorts when he was national champ, which is just asking for hatemail.

Although saying that, Connor will be a sight so behold with about as much red white and blue isnpoaiuvle in the ToB next week! (Hopefully sans white shorts tho)
The evil villan steals the win from kwiato. Boo.
