Idiotic "I don't know what I'm doing but I want professional quality photos ASAP" post incoming.
We've built a very basic photo studio in the new workshop. We've got white and black back drops, a nikon d90, amazon special flash set up, and have been using my prime 1.8 50mm lens. We've been able to get some good shots, especially detail, but are struggling to get the full 'side shot' without being totally out the door, or with distortion. Have had a fair amount of conflicting advice about what to do lens wise. Seb from klein got some good shots with his camera and a 24-70 2.8 zoom lens, but was full frame so I'm assuming we can't just buy a nikon equivalent and get the same shots. I've also been told that distortion is not a big deal and it can get sorted in light room, and also that it's a total pain. Any help greatly appreciated. Photo of studio so you can see what we are working in.
