  • I currently have a set of veloflex master in 25C mounted on thebike I use the most.
I had zero puncture atm and love the way they feel ; they are quite confortable and I can't fit more than 25 on my fork (tried 28C and does not fit - too bad!). They are starting to be worn so I am looking for other options.

What would be your recommendations for a new set of tires:

    • dimensions 700x25C
    • confortable/rolling feel similar to the veloflex master (if possible)
    • more resistant than them
    • tan wall (optional)

I have seen the continental grand prix classic, or the continental 4 seasons (which is more expensive), the marathons (but I think they roll less and harder to fit), but don't have good knowledge of tire options.

    Thanks for the help!

  • Stick with the masters. I've just gone back after several years on G+ and feel that masters are much better. Sure they wear pretty fast, but at least they don't get cut to shreads.

  • When I posted the question the website where I usually purchase parts I did not see them but just a few hours/a day after they had in stock the new Veloflex Masters in 28C.
I tried a continental tire in 28C before but it didn't fit my fork but the masters that I had in 25C seemed quite narrow (not measured though) so I stuck with the masters BUT I tried my luck purchasing a pair of Masters in 28C... and they fit the fork!!! (tight clearance - but clearance still!) Really stocked about that ; I mounted them tonight and will give it a try for my commute tomorrow morning
