Oakley owners- is a prizm lens worth it over an iridium lens? They say the prizm lenses give better contrast and enhance colours washed out by normal darker lenses but is it noticeably better?

Am I making a sprocket/cog mistake?
That and screw vs. bolt.
More constructively, here's the ISO mount sprocket thread which may be useful to you and, judging by the title, is refreshingly pedant-free.

My Lezyne Micro Drives (which are 4yrs old) aren't holding charge for long. The batteries inside are Lezyne LIR123A 600MAH . Lezyne do two spare versions, one is LIR123A 600MAH (£10.99) the other is LIR123A 2400MAH (£13.99). And I've 4 lights to change the batteries on.
Will generic CR123A 2300mAh for £6.10 kill the lights? Are they too powerful?

• #93105
It is voltage that is relevant in this situation, the battery capacity is how long it will last. Higher capacity (mAh) = larger capacity.
-
• #93106
@freezing77 the voltage is all the same 3.7v as far as I can tell. It just seems a shame to bin the lights because the battery has gone, however the holding mechanism seems a bit fragile for changing.

Not sure. It’s a potential purchase for repair. You saying they might not be Zipps?

I like a bit of pedantry as much as the next man, but testers riding fixed are said to be "on the cog", and if you don't call the IS2000 mount sprockets "bolt-on" because they are attached with screws, then you end up calling them "screw-on", which would be confusing. On the other hand, if you're getting together the flaming torches and pitch forks over the misuse of ISO when people mean IS2000, count me in 🙂

Quite, hence the "pedant" qualification.
But the experience of being "schooled" by an ex-Ford toolmaker, is not one I'll readily forget.
...the misuse of ISO when people mean IS2000...

Yes. Great lenses.

Pretty sure the rim is a Zipp. I don't think any of the crabbon fibber rims have dimples. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's been rebuilt, and whoever's rebuilt it hasn't bothered with nipple washers. They are a total PITA both to remove and refit.

Interesting, thanks. Might the lack of washers explain why it's gone crack? Do they spread the load or something?
-
• #93113
that is what washers do

Looking for a headset for a 2012 Ridley X-bow.
I think I need this FSA ORBIT Z-41CX :
https://shop4cross.de/komponenten/steuersatze/fsa-steuersatz-z-41cx.htmlWhich specifically mentions my frame as compatible. However, it specifies a 50mm outer diameter headtube, and mine measures at 48mm. I've looked everywhere for one that says 48mm. Any help appreciated
-
• #93117
This one says 48mm OD but I cant find it for sale anywhere

The OD mismatch is a cosmetic issue, not a functional one. The TH Industries parent drawing shows the rim of the cup as 49mm, 50mm is probably the maximum size which avoids interference between the hanger and the top of the head tube.

how can brake levers (on a kids bike) be adjusted so they are closer to the handlebars without affecting braking? they are shimano SLM310 rapid fire shifters
-
• #93121
Do they have a reach adjustment bolt/grub screw? Most flat bar levers do.
SLM310 seems to be a separate gear shifter.

this here?

SLM310
ST-M310 is the integral version. Reach adjust is a small screw in the lever body marked ② in the drawing.
