Anyone else feel digital tech long ago reached the point needed to make good images for the majority of people ?
The below is from an seven year old 12MP Olympus e-p3 shot on auto with a kit zoom. High contrast, but the matrix metering and dynamic range in the RAW easily handled it.
If the e-p3 had an evf I'd quite happily bin my other digital cameras

I think we definitely still need a lot more matrix metering!

Oi. It's an acceptable path.

The other pic is a crab and seaweed in a bucket. Focused on the surface bubbles. Unintentionally of course.

Played with the levels then cropped.

I guess somebody with a lisp would say it's pathable.

I like the path one, I'm a sucker for a narrow alley in B&W. Would of had bonus points if it had cables and/or aircon units.
