We were at friends today when Dinsdale, Doug’s brother and one of four cats in the house, came in and was pawing at his mouth. I spotted blood on his nose and mouth, and noticed that he couldn’t close his mouth properly. Friend called the duty vet and dashed off with him. Turns out he’s had a bash, banged his jaw and broken an upper incisor. He’s too old for a general (he’s 17) so a big pre-med and a local anaesthetic and the tooth comes out. He’s back home now, and Lois is £403 lighter. Eek.
