I hope you didn’t buy a Toyota Verso. Ours seems to have come with screaming child pre-installed

It was going to be a dog and bike transport car but it didn't meet my exacting standards.
@Scilly.Suffolk I retired in 2016. Even then marinading in pepper spray was the best method unless you had access to a taser. -

Surprising how many owners neglected to tick the Mute Button in the Options List.

Food festivals. £11 for a van burger, to stand outside with a napkin. Not paying that... Just for dropping a bit of Stilton on it.
-
• #9931
Does that also remove all the apple cores that have been dropped in the footwell?
-
• #9932
Haha good observation...

I get angry if anybody with a cough or cold come into the QZ. Sniffly cunts.

People going on endlessly about how stiff their bikes/stems/bars are. Like any amateur cyclists can produce the power to flex their seat stays.
-
• #9935
? Even I can feel a flexy bars/stem/BB. And you can hear it in your brake pads sometimes because the wheels move side-to-side.
But I am generally skeptical of amateur bike assessments, specifically describing a frame as "cornering like she's on rails".

This headline has just made my life so much more tedious/difficult:

Well he can get fucked. Who is he anyway?
-
• #9938
Oh FFS. Why is it whenever I start to like a British cyclist they have to come out with this bullshit?
-
• #9939
It'll be hi-viz next...
Oh wait...

The Welshman also revealed that, apart from races, he had "never ridden a bike in London". He added: "I've watched from a taxi and it does seem a bit crazy. "
Always good to have the subjective opinion of someone distinguished in another field.

I know, just bantz innit.

I have two cycling helmets because of my ex, which are hanging on the stairs. When we split I stopped wearing them, and thats not because of some fallen soldier of love suicidal tendency, just because like most things in life I enjoy including whiskey and the odd cigar I'll cast it to the fates. As a club cyclist for ten years some time ago, I never wore a helmet then either. Hard believe the girl that was sobbing about a helmet before we split, erased me from history lol. Stats say drivers pass 0.8m closer to a cyclist with a helmet on, so chew on that factoid safety stasi...

Hate is a bit strong perhaps, but I'm starting to tire of Richard Ayoade's shtick
-
• #9944
That’s the wheel flexing, not the frame.
-
• #9945
Me too. I hate those adverts.

I hate the fucking internet. Watched a trailer about rock climbing out of the blue on youtube then later on ended up on pintrest to re-browse the usual crap I look at, and what turns up? Pictures of people fucking rock climbing.
-
• #9947
Yeah, hence why I said it's the wheels moving.

I hate F1. Sport for people who don’t like sport.

That’s what I want to shout at the choppers I overhear wanking on about stiffness in the cafe in Alderley Edge.
All seem to have top end Willier/Bianchi/Pinarellos and do 20km rides with an hour’s coffee stop.

A decade ago they'd have been wanking each other off over titanium putters at the 19th hole.
Same fat, wealthy, middle-aged drones; different excuse not to spend time with their families.
It's what childs do, it's the natural order of things.
Much like beating a suspect with a phone book.
Although I suppose it's an Argos catalogue these days.
