I've been offered the Genesis Fugio Frame and Fork for £600....... Looks pretty interesting.

no front rack though

Doesn’t sound particularly cheap given the cost of a full build new.
No rack tho as buyer#1 mentioned.

True. Looks fun though.

I'm also looking for another rig.
Those Fairlight and Fearless bikes look nice! The Kepler seems a little to racey with that short headtube and almost counter slooping top tube.
The Genesis bikes look nice but in my experience they ride very slugish and indeed are a pound heavier than most other simular priced frames. So if your looking for a heavy loaded stable bike there it, lookin' for fun, not so much.

Didn’t 2x TCR winner skinny do so upon a Fairlight Strael? Pretty big rec

Rear mudflaps dont play well with the bike racks at work unfortuantely, as cool as the LFGSS ones are, I did think they looked a little narrow for my guards...
I LIKE BIG FLAPS AND I CANNOT LIE.

It does bug me a little - you can switch the rack 'arms' around (so right side to left side, and upside down) but that means that you dont have the stoppers the right way up to prevent a pannier slipping. Might try it again at some point with more inner tubes on them so that the bags have something to grip.

Maybe you should try a Tubus lowrider rack. They have a lot of holes to adjust the tubes nicely horizontal.

True.
I'm half considering chucking a disc fork on the Rockhopper and maybe have the rear triangle modified to take a disc, then have the whole bike repainted.

No, the CN12S106
Sorry for delayz, 10mm

Raaaad. Sounds exactly like my game plan, but clearcoated instead :)

• #19589
Yeah, should be fun. I wonder if 650b will fit?
-
• #19590
For sure. At least a horizon 47c type thing. But tbh im excited about the massive clearance at 26". Think mine has like 72mm at the wides part, so a nice fat rim and maybe a 2.6 tire is what im hoping for

That bit of cream pushes it over the line for me

• #19595
I agree, it's the cream that made bad good.
Like it always does :-p
