Yes, that's what I meant sorry, 7/8/9 MTB or road, all intercompatible, along with 10-speed road shifters excluding recent Tiagra. Should've been clearer about that.
Solves the issue for people like me who are happy with 9/10 speed, no good for people who want 11 speed! And again the lack of a clutch option is a bummer.

Heh - thanks, they are Gilles Berthoud 50mm paired with 650b x 1.75” tyres. I need to make up some flaps for it really.

I know I asked this before but I'm looking for ideas for a frame that wills take 650b wheels (road or mtb), disc brake, had mudguard mounts, pannier mounts etc and is somewhat interesting.
Any recommendations?

My girlfriend has the same bike/front rack combo.
I see you also couldn't get it level. Does this bug you? I was trying to think up a solution as it bugs me a bit!

What's your budget? Preference on carbon or steel forks?
-
• #19565
£500 for frame and fork. I'd consider both steel and carbon fork. Used or new. 54/55cm

Fairlight slightly over budget but they look smart. I'm sure there's many others.

what happened of your CdF?
Also Brother Kepler disc is on sale atm.

The obvious choice though, innit.

Mad bargain, with that said.

That fearless looks so damn cool.

I've still got it! Just getting tired of swapping it between summer and winter mode. Keeping the CdF as more of a summer bike and considering something a bit different for a flat bat commuter / tourer / practical bike.

Will let you know when I get back from work
I think @Tijs was trying to ask if Shimano 9 speed MTB and Road parts work together.
Solves the whole Shimano and low ratio discussion right? Road shifters, 48/36/26 crankset (even a 40/30/22 option) with an 11-36 cassette.
@amey Pretty cool bike, too bad they moved away from external headsets.
