Everyone knew that they couldn't let a QS rider get away alone at Flanders last year, yet somehow Terpstra managed it. He's tactically excellent.

As for difficult - I think he has high standards and expects others to meet them. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it can cause friction.

Terpstra has a strong character and probably asked a hefty pay rise for next season.
Chavanel will retire at the end of the season so Direct Energie has some budget to invest in WT points.
