eBay and Craigslist finds

Common scam, they'll tell you that they wanna settle outside ebay to avoid fees etc, ofc you'll never get a bike. If you buy it on ebay, they'll cancel with some bs excuse.
edit: in this case, it's even worse. they'll tell you to buy it through their own ebay copy scam site (they link it below the "proper" bin price)

Whoever is doing the above scam posts a bunch of adverts several times a day. Always from a different ebay account with great feedback (hacked I guess). If I see them I report them ASAP.

It's a never ending battle for the big seller accounts. Usually, they're businesses with staff, and they're sent a question, with a link that when they click it needs a password. Unfortunately, its a scam ebay.co.me.you.whoever.com link that the hurried staff member doesn't spot. And the password is entered and the game starts and thousands of listings are created with the click of a button. I doubt much ever comes from this, but it destroys genuine business accounts.

It is still for sale on eBay. Imho the price if very low for this model De Rosa though. Although the only listing photo doesn't reflect an actual state of the frame. I was thinking of buying it but then received this photo. Also, the seller didn't react well to my request when ask for more photos of the top tube.

Funny guy. I believe he's going to get in to a trouble if somebody buys it without knowing about these "bit beaten paint work" bits.

Yeah, I spotted that. Massively dodgy at best.

Edit: Looking again, they've blurred the background in a fairly slapdash manner, so the blur on the top tube could just be run over from that.

Was watching that for a few days and had a cheeky low snipe scheduled, however I managed to talk myself out of it and let it run. Finished under £200, absolute bargain, forks alone cost that new.

I don't think the fork is original, the colourway isn't right (close but no cigar).
