  • Bunch of rolls from filmdev from recent holidays. All small scans with no sharpening.

    Portra 400:

Colorplus 200 (honestly think this film comes close to Ektar for less than half the price)

And an old red car for Tina:

  • Like 3&4

Colorplus 200 (honestly think this film comes close to Ektar for less than half the price)

That would also be my experience. Can't really tell the difference unless I start zooming in to look at the grain pattern. The Kodak consumer films are pretty good really. Think Gold is slightly nicer than Colorplus and I like Ultramax as it's a bit more grainy than the 200ISO stuff. Got a box of Lomo 800ISO stuff also which is apparently re-badged Kodak which I'll try out when the nights start drawing in.

"We have just upgraded the Giveaway for the last few weeks! Thanks to @kodakprofessional anyone who orders any Kodak Film from us between now and 3rd of September will get a free 36 EXPOSURE Colorplus film included in their package! That's 12 more free photos than before Hurrah! "

(free UK delivery on first order if you subscribe to news)

and some kind of holiday snaps competition if you in that sort of thing with more film to win

  • Some Tri-X 400/800 and HP5+ 1600 (same rolls from last serie)

  • Yes yes yes yes. Could be totally wrong, but is the last one at The World Trade Center Transportation Hub? I feel like it looks very similar to this, which I took in March.

  • Edit: seeing them side by side, I think I answered my own question.

  • You're right! I was in NYC last month. I was amazed by the architecture there (like you haha).

  • They're all really nice

  • What's even funnier is that IIRC, the tiled bottom of our photos is actually a wall? So even though this looks like a walkway, it is in fact just a wall and the lights stick out?

Yep, buildings were amazing. Cannot wait to get back and photograph more of them/do some more exploring in the city and up-state, too. I didn't really leave Manhattan when I was there, save for one bike ride up to the Palisades, a morning in Brooklyn and an afternoon in Cold Spring.

  • Thanks! : )

Yes @JB, we both reversed our pic!

  • new camera day (the upper one) !

  • Nice ! Is that a Russian version of a Widelux ? Be interested to see how the photos turn out.

Panoramic photos can look really nice, Jeff Bridges takes some great photos with his Widelux

  • Just got back from Porto and Malta. I've shot 10 rolls and there's too many of my favorites so I don't want to flood the thread. Below are 2 of my faves, so just go to the link below to check the entire album. All pics shot with Canon Eos 300.

    Vista 200

    Portra 160

    Full album here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmheUz9W

  • Some of those look exceedingly grainy for Portra 160. Do anything unusual when shooting? Some very nice ones in there though.

  • Thanks! Only a couple were shot on Portra, I still have to fix the descriptions :)

    E: descriptions fixed

  • Ah yes, only saw the Portra description at the end and assumed all of them on your Flickr were portra...

  • Shitty scan/pics just to try it but here you go. It's a russian widelux, cheaper (for the plastic one) and heavier (for the metal one). As for all others russian camera, can be used as camera or weapon. I can't be able to find old scans of NYC with the metal one

  • That second one is ace, a corridor meant to be photographed by a Widelux type

  • Thanks, that was a test film.
