Rule of thumb I thought was amp = double speaker power, so you never get near amp clipping.
I’m not sure I’d want my nice speakers in a pub anyway but I think you’ll be best off hiring something in or using whatever they have there...

^this ! cc. @BRM most (nearly all) people don't give a shit about speakers and would have no idea that you could buy speakers somewhere other than Currys or Argos. Seriously, don't be surprised if someone puts their hand through the driver or pokes the cone with their finger just because...
There's a reason hire equipment is so expensive, and it's because it normally comes back broken because people (and punters) don't know how to look after it.
