Read the history of the hawian Pizza if you haven’t. There are loads of examples though.
I think we are a little precious about culture, it’s not something static it never has been. It’s like when people get annoyed with language development and new words.

I'm well aware of culture being a big, mixed, changing melting pot. That's not why this is shitty though, it's basically mislabeling something, claiming it's something that's important to a group of people when it's not that thing to make a profit for someone with no connection to said group.

I guess I fail to see the harm that is done as that’s how culture works and has been. It’s food, I don’t get how it can be important.

Maybe I’m just a gammon in the making.
