    This is probably the best argument against it. It's also not the same as me at home cooking jerk style veggie food (I mean, I use allspice so win there too) which is fine, but the guy is taking something from somewhere, doing it all wrong and flogging it. It's a bit like protected origin stuff like champagne and parmasan abuse as much as anything else.

    I think we are a little precious about culture, it’s not something static it never has been. It’s like when people get annoyed with language development and new words.

  • I'm well aware of culture being a big, mixed, changing melting pot. That's not why this is shitty though, it's basically mislabeling something, claiming it's something that's important to a group of people when it's not that thing to make a profit for someone with no connection to said group.
