What's your bash guard by the way? My bodged silver ultra-compact triple looks a bit horrid, looking at yours I think a black guard might sort it out. Stronglight do a similar one, is it that?

Which lens / setting?

For now. we've got to band together and #influence the bike industry towards nice, hollow-axle, ultra-compact cranks that aren't £300. Maybe time for 46/30 Sora cranks?
(not taking the piss, I would 1000% ride super-compact Sora cranks if they would bloody make them )

Still a bodge to turn it into a sub-compact double! Would probably look even worse that current options too

the only good OTP option. I prefer my bodge-triple for a couple of reasons though

Praxis Alba?

OK good point, there is more than one good OTP option. But they're even more expensive and don't go as low. And my friend has had to send his back under warranty for a mysterious creaking, perhaps cracked somewhere. Good for certain people though.
Middleburn + MTB cranks also options.
I needed something quite specific, GXP subcompact for a road BB and the only reasonably cheap option I found was a triple bodge, which is working just fine aside from that it's ugly. I am only prepared to spend about the price of a bash guard on de-uglifying it, if it costs more than that I'll just live with it

They just bolt the inner ring to the middle ring so you're stuck with the 39T middle ring they give you. Not to mention the 74mm offset 4-bolt pattern, no-one makes a replacement other than shimano so you're stuck with the 30T too.
But you probably knew this already, hence making the sensible bodge of the 6603.
