Thanks for the link, just had a chance to study it. 2 x Fane 18" drivers = 28.4kg to start with, guesstimating this would be between 40 & 50kilos finished. That's a back breaking bit of kit for 1 person! but 8k max power, 2000w program is pretty significant.

I'm kind of looking for a magic solution that weighs less and does more than it should. Transmission line maybe?

Probably start with modern neodymium magnet drivers and there’s a lot of chat about how 15” stuff is often better than 18”. What mains are you matching it to?

EVa5, 1000w 15" bass driver, 250w Tweeter. So there's no need for a sub in smaller venues but I do a few outdoor events so I'm always looking to raise the capacity.
