Robert Madley has resigned as a referee very suddenly. No reason given. He is only 32.
There are lots of scurrilous rumours flying around all of which are clearly untrue. If you are of a sensitive disposition, now is not the time to search Twitter using the words: Madley dog.

Patrick Roberts has gone from City to Girona as well.
He seemed to have done well at Celtic, and given that City own Girona it's probably not hugely surprising, but it's nice to see the tradition of Premier League players going to Spain going beyond the superstars.

Apparently the rumour was made up by Leeds fans as it emerged that he supported another Yorkshire team. The insult "dog nonce" does appear to have gained currency in recent years mainly thanks to Mike's chum Mourinho and his attempt to avoid rabies quarantine regulations.

Great free kick from Trippier, Kane scoring early in the season, and moura being that impact attacking player we were looking for.
Wonder if Trippier is becoming our version of Leighton baines, deadball specialist, scorer of fine free kicks and general all round world class full back. How many goals can he score this season if he’s taking the free kicks from dangerous positions? -

Amen^^^^
He's been good, and now excellent, for too long to be considered a bit of a flash in the pan plus he has excellent work rate and superb delivery which gets you a bloody long way -

What a day.
QPR were dog shit but we were ruthless.

A lot of our creative play is starting with him.

Don’t get too attached...

• #146267
That's basically what we were all saying today.
Nice to have him in the team this year though.

Some not very impressive defending from us but enjoying the one touch, attacking style... Still very early days so great to come away with three points against the Arse...
-
• #146270
Rio Ferdninand has already written Chelsea off and so that's that then.
-
• #146271
Two teams in transition, no expectations this season from the Arse.. no even expecting top 6 finish.
-
• #146272
You've been in transition since Vieira left... FACT!!!

Marcos Alonso is a very good player.
-
• #146274
I've been saying this to Chelsea fans since he arrived, so many are non-plussed... I think he is spectacular, you could probably play him as a number 9 he's that naturally gifted... IMVHO, obvs... And that hair, just look at it...

You need a stadium with inflated attendance figures so you can launder the oligarch money
