What time is it? Watches and horology

Unusually for me I bought without any paperwork, but the client is known to me and I’m gonna get serviced by Rolex so it has that paperwork. All numbers match up and have been checked with Rolex .
I suppose it’s gonna go in the window for £ 5500 ish .

this is what I mean about artificial scarcity. Don't they list at £6,850 or something like that? Lots of collectors are being turned off Rolex for this reason.

It’s a catch 22 .
Rolex collectors moan that there aren’t any about , but the reason anybody wants them is the scarcity.
If you could walk into a store and just buy them no one would want them.

A millions watches sold per year says otherwise.

The steel professional pieces are meant to be additional to the rest of the entire range not the be all and end all.

Think it’s that crappy rhodium plated stuff, though.

I’d like to buy a Seiko SKX013K2 (the K2 part means on a bracelet, I guess?).

Could anybody point me towards a good place to pick one up? I can see them for £150ish but the sites look a little dodgy..

Very legit site... but you may get hit with imports.

Go with @JB ‘s link, they’re good. Use the (paid) Royal Mail delivery option instead of the free DHL - you’ll probably not get stung for import duties that way.

The ‘K’ means Korean made, but its exactly the same watch as the more expensive J version.

Good evening all. Has anyone any info on this watch. It was my father’s watch and he got it approx. 56 years ago - around 1962.

The watch appears to have an Omega strap but it may be the case that the buckle was moved onto the actual strap - again, any info appreciated.
