Certainly was. Sounded mint too. Lovely colour.

I thought the same. At the start they were quoting some very impressive numbers then the Dyno results showed 20-30% less if memory is correct.

I thought they protested a bit too much, especially with it probably being a product placement/advertorial type piece. Will be interested in the final numbers as looks like a lovely piece of kit.

Is it irrational to assume modern auto will be less reliable than manuals when looking at 2nd hand cars?

Totally not surprised. Old beemer sedans have always appreciated in price. Always dreamed of owning one
Have you seen the price of CSL's these days? -

There's one in my street, not that great condition. Prob should have bought one five years ago when they were under 5k for a not totally disgusting one. Same for e29 m535i, looked at one for 2k and thought nah, I.can find a nicer one.

When I was a teenager I always wanted an M5 when I got to my 40s.
But honestly since the e39 I've never liked the aesthetics of them.
That one is particularly rare. Idk how much you're average +100k one is going to be worth without a solid chuck on change being spent.

What tyres do you guys like to run? My current Potenza RE050s are on their last legs and I’m tempted to go for something a bit stickier (also probably meatier sidewall) but I also think their lack of grip has been a defining factor in my gearbox not blowing up yet.

I’m running PS2’s which seem good, fairly old design now however and many seem happy with the Cup 2’s if they do more track orientated stuff. I’ve got P-zeros on the estate which also seem fine.

This weekend I mainly fitted a roll bar. Feels good to be topless after so long although realised how loud the exhaust is again. I found some surface rust inside the car last year and 'while I was in there' thought it would be a good time to fit the bar. Now time to relax and enjoy the weekend.

Winter is coming - and Percy the Porsche will be tucked away in his garage:
Which has no power, and therefore I can't keep his battery topped up.
So I put this on the roof:
Which runs to this:
Which connects to this:
And looks like this:
And is now keeping the battery full using the Power Of The Sun.
It's a 20w panel which the chap I bought it from says will be more than enough to keep the battery topped up over winter, even with the low/short sunlight.

They're ladder hooks, screwed into the beams around 2" each. I'm pretty confident that they're staying up there.

I've started getting an error code p0087 on my Focus ST - fuel rail pressure low. I believe it's likely related to the fuel pump being on the way out, and needs addressing as it's putting the car into limp mode permanently.
Question - is there anything else I should get them to look at / replace while they're doing the pump, and the tank is down?

Does the tank need to be removed to do the pump? I replaced the pump in my old dc2r and it was accessed from the cabin, under the rear bench
Thats seriously beautiful !
