So some time ago I bought this beauty of a topcap for my 2017 supersix, from absolute black.
https://absoluteblack.cc/top-cap.html
Finally came to try and install it and took ik to my LBS as well. Now I find out it does not seem compatible with the one piece fork (and type of expander plug)... Anyone experiences with it?
So looking for an alternative to the stock FSA topcap, something as flat as possible and black.

Just use a different expanding plug to the SI one

My lbs said that was not possible, so they were talking bs?
Any expander plug recommended?

Yes and no. The expander bung / top cap doobry according to cannondale is essential, but then folks change them and keep their teeth. Personally I'd keep it and ditch my sexy top cap dreams for an easy life.

I've got a Koga expander in my CAAD10 forks, I haven't totally died yet.

Ordered the Extralite UltraStar 3 expander for my caad10 to replace the stock cdale one but not installed yet.
Hope it does not break my face, I generally enjoy my easy life. :(

'Carbon cutting guy' on youtube threw cannondale design plug far away in his video. It was not even lightweight one. I can not see how they are any good or supportive for a carbon steerer of regardless manufacturer. Replaced mine with longest, most supportive I could find on german online sites after beeing sick of retightening headset on my supersix any 5 rides or so.

Yeah. I think Tester on here said something similar.

If anyone spots a 56cm SystemSix frame can they let me know please?

I really like the look of the 2019 purple CAAD12. I would definitely get it if if they sold it as a frameset. The full bike with 105 in the picture is £1400.

Saw a guy on a very nice polished Synapse yesterday which i'm 99% certain had Ultegra 6700 or 6800 calipers on it, i thought you needed long drops or does a normal Ultegra caliper have enough reach? Not nearly as nice but i think it was this model in the link, anyone know what year this is?

It’s old. Maybe around 2010, two models prior to the current version?

I had a 2013 Synapse (similar to the one you posted) which had normal-drop brakes (non-series or 105, can't quite remember)
-

Yeah. For a long time the Synapse was the road bike you bought from Cannondale if you Couldnt ride a CAAD or SuperSix but wanted Cannondale written on the down tube. It was a lacklustre road bike.

Hello guys,
I need your advice please; I'm looking to change my headset but I'm not sure which headset is suitable for my bike. I have a Cannondale Caad 4. I've looked online but I'm not sure which one is best. So I'm looking for recommendations.
Thanks.

Get a cane creek 40.
Unless you wanna spend, then go Chris King

that frame is smashing, nice ride
-
• #10273
Or in my case, because it was cheap and I needed a bike to work over winter ;) But yeah, I agree, overall rather uninspiring ride, pretty flexy.

Thoughts? Fair Price etc?

Spendy, but they're great frames - mine was a 56cm and I loved it, until the top tube started to crack. This was down to the PO having put a big dent into it, which they'd then filled before painting the frame, not a weakness of the frame itself.
I would have another in a second.
You can’t fit bigger than a 25.
I just sold an complete hi mod for not much more money. I would say they’re still the best mass production frame I’ve ever ridden.
