The one on the right is white gold. I only say that because the other two have the old case shape and font on the bezel.

Every now and then I really want a Pepsi GMT, someone talk me out of it?

New one? They look quite flashy and brash irl which isn't your style.
-

Would be an old(er) one I think. But not for 23k

Older GMTs are over-priced at the moment IMHO, mainly due to artificial scarcity created by Rolex under producing new ones. Also not a good first vintage watch, lots of fakes, frankenwatches and interfered with pieces out there.
If you do buy one, make sure you get it from a reputable source and take someone with you who knows these references intimately.

Good advice

older GMTs are overpriced
True, but I don't think they will fall either

Until they do ;)
Look at the drop in value of brown furniture since the 90s... or road frames with horizontal dropouts since 2008.
Trends do change.
All that said I think one of the core / classic rolex is probably the safest bets you could make.

I've been thinking about selling mine, 16710 and with a spare red/black bezel insert (sorry not pepsi) - won't be £23k!

Interesting. Apparently 18k gold is usually about 75% gold and 25% copper and silver and high end white gold alloys are 90% gold and 10% other metals.
