You will get toe overlap on the pre-cursa if you buy it with an Alpina track fork, and with the smaller sizes the overlap increases as far as I'm aware. I'd say the pre-cursa is better than the fhain but that's just my own opinion. See if someone in your local fixed gear groups owns a pre-cursa and if you could try it out.

A friend has a similar Fhain V2 and IMO it's a nicer frame than the Pre Cursa. There is probably not much difference (in terms of durability, quality of workmanship or ride quality) between the two frames, but the 8Bar looks more elegant and understated (with constant diameter tubes and no big logos).
Maybe try to measure the minimum gap you can achieve between shoe and tyre with your existing bike. I can't find stack/reach values for the geometry of the 8Bar, but (in size S; smallest size on geo. chart) its effective top tube length is 32mm shorter than the 8Bar, and the Alpina track fork has less offset than either fork available with the Fhain, so if the current shoe-tyre gap is around 20mm or less, you could encounter some difficulty.
Have you considered the 50cm Pre Cursa? It has the same (+/- 5mm) length top tube as your current frame(*), but its seat tube is 2cm shorter.
Your English is great, by the way!*I can't find geo. for Fhain size 'XS'; 'S' being the smallest size on the chart.
Hi all!
First of all, sorry for my approximate English... I am from France. I've been reading quite a lot on this forum about the Pre Cursa and would like your expert community to give me some recommendation.
I currently own an 8Bar Fhain V3, size XS. I must admit that I am looking at the PC model as they are having a 45 cm which would allow more seatpost length, which I find nicer.
But I am wondering whether I should consider changing or not. Is the PC a better frame than the Fhain V3? Quality, behaviour, wise. Also, I am scared of getting toe overlap (which I don't have on my 8Bar) in such small frame.
Any advice, lessons learned or feedback would be really appreciated.
Thanks!!
