  • I fucking adore your work man!
The GT is going to be sooooo so nice! But please keep the original paint-scheme :(

  • What he said^

  • White, black, red and yellow is rank.

    But thanks :)

  • On piss but on at least.

  • Was it @tijs who didn't trust my phone's angle finder?
I can confirm that the Bevel Box Pro say seat tube is 73 and head tube is 73.5 when top tube is 0.

BB drop is 60 btw so 10-15 mm taller than I'd like. But what ever.

  • How could I doubt you!

Head tube seems steeper than the seat tube to me

Well, I wasn't wrong technically (about this part).

  • I have cut the bits for the forks. Legs need trimming and I need to look at the jig before tagging everything.

DON@T mind the disc tab jig thingy. It is not getting disc brakes

  • Very cool, amazing work and photo relation. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this frame a lot once it’s build up.

    Thumbs up!

  • On piss

    Que? Looks great!

  • Mmm slightly off. But fillets where a lot better :)

  • More on left can be fix as your the man..

  • The work you have put into the GT makes me smile so much and also very jealous of your skills and tools. Well done for breathing life back into it. I’m looking forward to seeing it with green paint. 👍🏻

  • Thanks man.
I am still undecided on the colour. Strong forces are pulling me towards pebble grey or ultra marine blue :)

But, I have sold the white flite to a nice guy from France as he spotted it on my Flickr and really needed it for his build.
And, by public demand, I can share that the Ritchey Venture Max bars are off the table. I have been bullied into Salsa bars instead. So either Cowbells or Cow chippers.

  • This is rather sexy

  • Do it. Black forks though.

  • I shall try with black forks, but I reckon Blue is better.

    EDIT:

  • Leave it ratty! Show off your workmanship.

  • Yeah but Wound Ups.

  • the GT stamped 'virtual top tube end'

Saw this today. Looks like the "official" way of doing it is maybe a hole through the top tube with seat tube slotted through it or something. Would be a nightmare getting the two portions of the seat tube well-aligned enough to take a seatpost if you cut them apart I expect.

Edit: this is a Psyclone, not an Edge

  • That is if the top tube is bigger than the seat tube. In my case they are the same size.

  • So with yours they just braze the badge on the back (like you did)? Interesting.

Feels like we're seeing behind the wizard's curtain

  • Like this.

That is the frame pre me chopping. There is a bit more brass on this.
