It's very ford but a lot of folk like them (not me though), d5 is a good motor. Auto box of that era not as nice as the stuff on the euro cars though.Toureg v6 tdi, after the disaster of an engine they used from 2000-2007 I think they newer one is actually good, can get with dsg I imagine too

Churchill via compare the market. £1900 fully comp. still an eye watering amount of money tbh. No black box or anything though.

You might’ve heard me in Essex last night tbh. Best I’ve managed was 32mpg mostly on the motorway and the worst was 23 all in town. I don’t baby it either. Sounds almost respectable until you take into account that it’s mapped for premium only.

Quick release tab for AMG owners' wallets?

Has anyone any experience of a 2015+ Audi A6 Avant 2.0 Ultra? Either manual or auto. I’m interested in any auto gearbox issues.
Thanks. -

Yeah. Part of his ever expanding retirement collection.
No idea when it'll be done, probably not long now. Get yourself to Essex if you want a personal viewing. -

Just got home indication that the head guy would like to send me an invoice. Digging back through emails his quote (around a year and a half ago) was £2,800+VAT as a guideline. Not very sure what is going to turn up one Sunday when he’s back from Shelsey Wash.

Current bore (lol) is 96mm, we are going to 100mm. With the 3.4 litre 78mm stroke crank this nets 3.7 litres. However, Baz just suggested we use the 2.5 litre, 72mm stroke Boxster crank. This would mean capacity would actually be unchanged at 3.4 litres, but 72x100 rather than 78x96.
Why would we do this?
For a nominal Mean Piston Speed of 20.8 m/s, a 78 stroke would net you 7846 rpm, whereas the same MPS with the short stroke gives 8666 rpm.

A street ka is on any metric not more fun than a puma. Unless you class fun as being pointed at and mocked by a uniform spread of the populace, 2 year old children to 94 year old grannies.

Just been given the beater van at work. 2003 1.7dti Astra, 72000.
To do:
-Speedo does not work, it’s been like that for years, app for now.
-Minor oil leak at top of engine
-Interior needs a good scrub as it currently stinks of fags, spilt coffee, trees and egg McMuffin.
-Panelling in the back is getting redone next week but might spray the load bed with trunk liner paint and get a fitted rubber mat as it’s pretty scuffed.
-Repaint wheelsShe’s built like a steakhouse but handles like a bistro. Rocket ship compared to my polo and perfect bike hauler..

The LEZ which stretches out to the M25 will from march 2019 require commercial vehicles to be Euro6, if that makes a difference to how much you put into it.
-
• #43796
The street/sport ka use puma suspension and same floor plan. Which came first and which of the two was the development.
-
• #43797
Not sure that's actually true, it seems to be a mix of the ULEZ starting next march which would affect this van but only in central London vs the LEZ which currently only affects vehicles registered before 2002. If the LEZ is rolling then next year this vehicle might be liable for a charge but it wouldn't be related to EURO 6.
At least as a van owner who lives in London that's the information I've been looking at.

Well this one won’t be going into the centre of town anyway. We just renewed the fleet of work trucks and small vans to comply. This will just be for commuting round the a406 and trips outside London but will read up and check if I’m in or not. The boss keeps threatening to scrap it but it keeps passing mots and runs like a champ

- Is the speedo, cable or electric? No idea and can't be arsed to google.
- They all do that. The gasket goes hard and the head cover is just flimsy metal over tightening and gasket going hard is an issue. It is the isuzu engine isn't it.
- Look up how to wash and clean the interior, seats and carpets. Or look at the scrap yards looking for one of the higher up the range astra seats and carpet to replace what is in side. Probably cheapest least hassle option.
-Trunk liner paint and forget. Or add some cheap lino.
-Tyres any good? Look at second hand alloys with decent tyres, maybe at a local breakers.
Think there is autovaux in romford for vaux parts
