This 5.5kg beast loves food, his favourite is cheese (hard, soft, blue, he'll have it) and is currently taken with Magnum ice creams and chicken madras. He's not so keen on salt and vinegar peanuts though even if he still gives them a go

@ᛠᛙᚺᚣ✻ᛕᛙᚺᛥ
I typed out a proper response, then the kitten came, jumped on the keyboard and suddenly its gone.
Shorter version: Massive improvement. Tentative at first when I got home, but I busted open a can of tuna and that all changed. She wolfed it down, and then demanded more food, so topped her up with some turkey dried food which she also devoured. She is now accepting my petting, although will not allow me to pick her up yet. I think she's still upset with me / thinks I'm going to bundle her up again, as Mrs Hovis is able to pick her up just fine. Her limp is nearly gone too.

Great to hear. Tuna brine has magical effects on cats.

She hates you and will spend the rest of her life plotting to get vengeance. Sleep with one eye open.

I give the cats tuna in spring water, while I have tuna in brine or oil.....furry bastards have been using their mind control on me again..

Been brushing Patch for 3 days now... still plenty of fur coming out... I now have a grey cat that is bigger than Patch (she is black and white).

Nah, a jumper so I can wear it to work so all the annoying people who are allergic to cats would just leave me alone.

I mean, it is funny. It just wasn't at the time!
Another time he came home from getting some teeth extracted and I opened his carrier in the living room and went through to the kitchen to sort out his dinner. I came back to the living room minutes later to see how he was doing, and he was gone. Totally vanished. Searched the flat four times, no sign of cat. A horrible thought began to dawn about where he might be, even though I'd blocked the access to it...
So I got a lamp and checked up the chimney in the bedroom, and sure enough, he's sitting up inside the flue, eyes like saucers, absolutely off his tits on painkillers. He hid up there for three hours while I lay on the floor waving a Waitrose line caught prime cod loin at him, begging him to come back down.
Then he spent the next 24 hours alternating between wandering around in a drug-addled haze and trying to bust through the additional cardboard I taped in front of the fireplace. Everything in my flat was filthy, especially him.

Update on mummy cat, she's totally back to normal now. Ate loads today and happy to wrestle with her kitten again.
Although I managed to give her flashbacks earlier. She was sleeping and I went to grab a towel for a shower and as soon as she saw it she bolted downstairs and hid under the sofa. Does towel phobia have a name?
