Well that was soggy. Still 'enjoyed' it. Hopefully summer will return for the next one.

So who stayed dry?

Yeah, it was good, definitely type 2 fun.
Great route, really pushes you to the limit up and down hill.

Definitely "atmospheric" riding through the thunderstorm. Think I've just about dried out, still a great ride and glad I didn't bail on it.

Did you go la smashfestina on the A21 back home?

Alas, no. Only Jim was strong enough for the ride back. Instead I experienced la sufferfestina limping from Bromley station back to Blackheath.

I wish! I got hammered by the rain on the way home, and then soaked all over again when I had to run a late night errand.

Wouldn't exactly agree with Ben's "Hard day in August", but definitely some tricky conditions with the saturated roads and mistyness. Its like it made my light less bright. So glad no one got any punctures, or struck by lightning.

Whenever I think of the wettest rides, Kent 2 seems to be a consistent feature (and I actually missed the very wettest one, I think). Several instances of the 'Mary Poppins' fjord crossing style were witnessed..
