  • Good stuff. He must be well known to the police already!

  • Last night...

Cyclist: Are you shaking your head at me? Just because you're on a motorbike or in a car [muffled nonsense]
Me: Yes I am. It's not because you're a cyclist, it's because you just cycled the wrong way up a one-way street, across a red pedestrian crossing and right into my path as I was leaning over for a corner, without looking; you total cunt

    sigh

  • Ta.
Took the south circular to Eltham, gosh that's nice, Eltham to Bexley. I can imagine in school time it's full of cunts.

    I punctured.
My pump broke. A valve bent.
    But I had a spare and a co2 canister.

Not sure the tube is seated properly. Will look at after interview.

  • Was quite enjoying the drizzle, until realising it made everything slippery.

  • Gave a white van man with his attention in his lap the fright of his life on Lower Thames Street this morning - a loud "Oi! Phone!" through his open window startled him in a really satisfying way.

Wet, innit? Poncho held up admirably, would tootle again.

  • DIY cantilever brakes

    Want to see please @dirac

  • Got verbally abused on a bike path. Then later got nearly hit head on followed by the woman’s husband shoving me after i queried her driving.

Police said it wasn’t a priority.

  • Commuted Gloucester to Lords. Watched the rain. Commuted Lords to Gloucester. 0 for no wicket.

  • Enjoyed the cooler temps and it of wet on the way in. Did not enjoy the big puddles on the tow path on the way home and cut through stamford hill. Rated the lack of pedestrians and other cyclists

  • By bike? Looking for a decent route to Gloucester

  • The advantage of midnight commuting, it's quiet enough that I can nearly ride the whole way without braking, no handed. Just need to optimise my route a bit to avoid sharp corners, steep up/downhills, busy roads, traffic lights, bollard dodging, cobblestones...

Also there's a choice to be made between having gears or having the ability to brake with fixed or coaster brake

(that's not supposed to be a humblebrag, just a bit of fun)

  • Used to do SW15 to CB5 (Abbey Stadium) and back to watch CUFC some Saturdays. DIY 200km Audax with a 2h footy break in the middle.

Many times it felt like 0 for no wicket, but football.

    Fun, ugh, times.

  • I do this on late night commutes as well, mine's only around 4k but I have managed to do the whole thing no-handed a couple of times.

  • Kinda glad I missed the downpours last night. Put a new chain and jockey wheels on and man it was a smooooth ride in this morning.

  • was this the same day of the kerfuffle you posted on instagram?

  • Yepppppppp.....

  • Which still needs to go into the Indra'd thread, right?
Do you even ever bike maintenance?

  • Nah. Suited in the car.

  • Over in the frankenbike thread are some pics, but unfortunately upon proper inspection they are not bodged on the frame. I thought they were welded on but turns out there are proper posts on the frame.

  • things like this really makes me wanna get a camera.

  • Because I did bike maintenance that's why the crank arm came off.

  • Because I did bike maintenance wrong - that's why the crank arm came off.

    ftfy

  • Tautological correction there. Everyone knows my bike spanners is shit.
