Hubsmith rear hub 10 days away! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Anyone else tried these?
They look good..
The size of the brompton pedals is too small, so used to comfy flat pedals.
-
• #4780
This isn't the actual bearing from the pedal, but it is very similar (if not identical) to what is in there.
So you'd be looking at pullers / drifts to deal with something as small as this.

Not sure, can't get the mudguards I want here in Oz atm so might hang on to it after all...
And you couldn't afford the P&P from here anyway... 💸💸💸

Folding BMX pedals would be ace...

Yeah, realised later about that :)
That's fine. Thanks. -

Why is a gear cable for a 2 speed s type £12
It’s a cable with a nipple, right
-
• #4785
A specific sturmey nipple, and it’s with an outer, cut to length, with ferrules etc.

Ok then.
doffing my cap to Balfes Bikes in Dulwich who just telephoned to say that I don’t need a new cable as the holder near the tensioner had slipped out of its housing. Also said that it took him seconds to discover this so there would be no charge. Gotta respect that.
They are now on my list of shops or tradespeople you can trust.Authorised/Approved Brompton dealer/repairers

What I assume is a lock nut, the one circled, has fallen off. Is this a standard size or do I need to get a specific one from somewhere? Cheers

Just been looking at new mudguards, front and back in stock so fantastic...
But... I need a new set of black rack stays (mine got bent on the way back from the UK last time) but none in stock here... Is there anyone in the UK that will post Brompton stuff to Oz? I have no luck as soon as I get to the checkout...
-
• #4789
Probably standard, only sold with the chains so never needed to know!
-
• #4790
No shop will, Brompton contract that they can’t..
-
• #4793
Got mine weeks ago. Still haven't used them mind you.
-
• #4794
Looks like I'm going to have to get the ruler out and work out how to measure the size then. Cheers.

I think I have some spares. Can whack one in the post at the weekend if you PM me and address.

Is there a recommended chainring/BB/crank upgrade? How about bars and brake levers? I have a well-used 5-speed 90s m type and everything feels flimsy yet incredibly heavy.
Already added Ti seatpost, easy wheels, fold lock and upgraded stem ‘grabber’ to modern part. -

Disagree, the hubs come out the box worn 😂
No it doesn't, it just need adjusting.

Use sealant. My Tan Walls are weeping a little after a few weeks of commuting. Grippy, but pick up a lot of road detritus.

I'll put the marathons back on soon
I already get occasional heel strike, not very keen on increasing the likelihood of that happening... Might have to stick with Brompton pedals then, disappointing... They're so clunky...
