1st gen Isen All-Season Frameset No. 009

Posted on

  • One of the first 30 frames built, no. 009.
    Price : £1000
    Not posting for now
Paid £1290 for it during the early bird promotion, they're currently £1850 on the website, unless it's been changed last time i checked.
With the condition it's currently in, and comparing it to the prices of the same frame that was sold here, I reckon £1000 is a reasonable fair price right now.
I'll leave it here for a month then I'll move it somewhere else if it doesnt get sold by then as the space it's taking up will be taken by a 2nd Soma Wolverine.

With a heavy heart, I will have to sell this frame after only less than 10 months. Been back and fourth from London to Norway multiple times, used for commuting and some light camping/touring in Norway/London. Got some top tube paint chips which I will take a photos of when it's brighter tomorrow. No dents or anything, just paint chips. Steerer still has a good amount of lenght left as i never had the chance to figure out the proper height i need it for.
Great frame but I feel like I'm not using it to its full potential and for that I'm letting it go.
My trusy Soma Wolverine is still a proper workhorse in my eyes and still cant be replaced at this moment (in which I bought another Soma wolverine just to have it in london instead of moving it back and fourth overseas)
Pretty sure I will regret this, but if I do, i'll just get a custom one from Matt to fill up that void.

1st gen Isen Frame 53cm Geometry here
More Details of the frame here from the official website

As you can see, there's still loads of steerer left, never managed to figure out how much i needed so i left it as it is.

Here are some photos of the top tube paint chips and Seat Tube from teh front Derailleur

  • Simultaneously gutted and relieved that this isn't a size larger

  • I'm also gutted that this has come up when I've literally just purchased a new frame as I had my eye on an Isen from the beginning and didn't go for one in the early batches and then I hesitated when someone else was selling there 53cm one a couple of months ago. Is it bad that I still want to get some cash together and buy this anyway even knowing I won't be able to build it up for a while? Also on another note will you be selling any of the parts from the build, specifically wheels and possibly mudguards and lighting etc.? Good luck with the sale, this won't hang around long!

  • Just the frameset and Chris King headset. Been raining too much, cant take any photos. Will definitely take some today.

  • Is the fork included?

  • hi

which bottom bracket did you go for?

    asking for a friend

  • @mustardbeak frame and forks + Chris king headset as if bought straight from Isen.
@smiff BSA Bottom Bracket, honestly did not know you can choose a different one!

  • Sorry meant BB shell actually. According to that link there is t47 or bb30 option.

  • Can't see the pictures at the moment, got a mirror?

  • Oh, what happened here, lemme upload more on imgur, give me a sec

  • Can you measure it rather than the geo table as it makes no sence for us midgets.

  • Sure! Will do!
