It might not quite be what you are looking for but I just downloaded 'volume up' which basically boosts the volume. I was finding it hard to hear some podcasts at full volume. If you want to just use it for finer tuning you can just put the boost on half and then it should give you a larger range of volume with your normal control.
It does have an advert when you open it but it's pretty easy to click through and after that it's pretty unintrusive

Any recommendations for an app with more incremental volume controls. One of my bluetooth speakers doesn't seem to have a setting between quite loud and really quiet.
There appear to be loads on the Play Store but it strikes me as the kind of thing where you end up testing out 10 shit apps, all of which request permissions for everything and continually try and get you to sign up to the paid version.
